Let's "Food"!!!

How different the food from different country is, let's work it out~

First, for the breakfast.

Here is the traditional breakfast in Ireland. Sausages in red, sausages in brown and suasages in black~
I heard that the black one is made of blood of pig..
Oh my god~ its are all meat~

there is another kind of western brackfast.
Omelette, sausage, baconic and  sweet potato cake

This is traditional Chinese brackfast. egg, deep-fried dough cake(you bing), rice porridge(da miz hou) and hot pickled mustard tuber(zha cai)~

And sometimes, we'd like to eat steaned stuffed bun(bao zi), deep-fried dough sticks(you tiao) or sumai(shao mai)

Then, the lunch in  Cafeteria

Beaf, chips and some boiling vegetables are what I need here. it is delicious, but I have to say, that is too much meat on  my plant!!! So, sometime, I prefer creamed mushroom soup and optional salad~

Rice or noodles with many kinds of fried dishs are what Chinese eat in canteen.

third, for dinner~ what do I eat in different country?

In China, it is almost like lunch.
there are normoly rice and fish and soup in Chinese style.

Here, I guess it is place for East meets West~

 curry and rice, perfect integration

And how about the dessert?

Cakes and coffee, that is yummy afernoon tea~

In China, pumpkin pie, moon cake,  date cake are amazimg dessert~

on the end, the fast food are all the same all over the world~~

Be hunted by hungry swans

In a snow day, i met a group of swans in a river. and also a lot pigeons of and seabirds..

                   they looked beautiful and  cold.

Cute footprints and white fur made me chang my way.

I went to a nearly shop and bought some breads for them.

Then I found they were so hungry to think. (I insist animals have their mind~)
They were out of their mind and started to hunting me, perhabes the bread in my hands.

They followed me on the street and I was so scared that run away~

New snow day

During two days snowing, the land looks quiet.

This the first snow day i saw in Ireland. friends here told me it is unusual to see snow on November in Dublin. they told me it is because of the change of global environment.

I do not nknow much about environment, but I do enjoy the sky and the snow.

Sunshine and snow, that is winter, isn't it?

The weather in Dublin

I have been in Dublin for almost 2 months. I am getting used to every different custom here, like language, foods or daily schedule. And the first challenge I have to face is the weather here.

I still remembered the moment I got off the plane. How cold the weather is! 15 hours before, I was sitting in the restaurant of the Beijing International Airport with a chocolate ice-cream, and after I arrived I had to walk in the strong wind a
nd rain with my chocolate brown coat.

Now I know the rainy, the windy or the cloudy day is quite normal in Dublin. It is much different from Beijing. The heavy rain comes and goes in 1 hour in my hometown, however it is always drizzle here for a long time, maybe a whole day and night with super strong wind.

Talk about the wind, I have to say, it is the most horrible thing I met in Dublin.  After my exquisite umbrella which I brought from china broken, I understood why people here holding such a big one in rainy day.

Another difference is the wet weather .on one hand; the winter in Beijing is dry with almost no wind. Even the temperature is lower than Dublin, but the moist air here makes me feel a freezing cold at 5 or 6 o’clock in the morning. On the other hand, the damp air is better for my skin. It is much more important than the cold.

The last thing I want to talk about is the environment. To be honest, the environment here is perfect. The air is clean and the river is crystal. in sunny days, you can’t imaging how beautiful the weather is!

let's enjoy the wonderful view~

Journey begin...

this is my first time to traveling by a plane. 14 hours day time made me tired but the sunshine and the blue sky made me feel peaceful.
I have to say I don't know more about western food and do not really like the foods in the plane. I even  regared the butter as a chocolate and ate it directly. However I have to admit, the cake is fantastic.

To you, to myself

Because of an inspired speedy decision, I left my family and my country, even missed the chance to say goodbye to some friends. I abandoned everything and came here for a fascinating adventure. Of course I miss my comfortable life and our wonderful Chinese language, but I will never give up the way to my dream. No matter how many troubles I have to face, I still believe those colourful landscapes are awaiting my visit.
Now, let’s start the new journey...

China town in Dublin

Is there a China town here in Dublin?
Of course there is!
Look at these wonderful Chinese foods, beautiful red lanterns and friendly Chinese. it is just like my home~

Dublin Chinese Festival 2008

There are a large number of activities during the spring festival in Dublin. We can see Dragon-boat racing, acrobatism and traditional opera performances. Not only Chinese, but everyone living in Dublin can join the celebrations.According to a friend of mine, every February during the Chinese New Year festivities, free spring rolls are handed out in the city centre, isn’t it exciting?

WELCOME COME TO SUE'S BLOG

Hi guys~ Welcome to my blog.
I am now, an oversea student in Ireland from China. I will show my life in Dublin which is
quite a stange city for me. I will let you know the trouble I got into at the first second I arrived at the airport and the big difference between the Chinese pineapple and the Irish pineapple. You couldn't imagine that the pictures I will show you have such a vivid story with them. Maybe it was about the 10th time I lost my way during 2 weeks. Maybe it was just such a handsome boy I met in club Twenty -One.
As you know, I am not a native speaker in English. If you find any mistakes in my sentences and stories, I look forward to enbracing your suggestions and corrections.
Thanks a lot ~
BTW, I am Sue.
